PRE-VCE PROGRAM

Pre-VCE English

As students enter the final years of their schooling, which tend to be the most challenging and competitive, it becomes especially crucial for them to hone their English skills.Embarking on their learning journey with a long-term goal enables students to not only improve their academic skills, but to change their way of thinking and give them the best chance at reaching their full potential. Year 9 English students can expect to tackle task that are both creative and analytical in nature, challenging their current modes of thinking and writing . The completion of this course will ensure a well-rounded, sophisticated, and complex way of approaching any English class, as well as confidence in a wide range of writing structures and styles. When it comes to VCE English, we believe that the high level skills required to execute a sophisticated language analysis in Year 12 are actually cultivated starting from Year 10.Effective and commited reading and writing skills are developed over a number of years.Similarly, the political depth of many VCE English text cannot be unearthed overnight. Students need sto be conditioned in these areas of study via a gradual and consistent process, As such, RL Education has designed a foundation study course meant to prepare students for the rigours of VCE English, in a manner and delivery appropriate for Year 10 students.
